Stalo kalno viewpoint

Apžvalgos vieta, Vilniaus apskritis

Rising above the Neris valley near Krivių gatvė, this hill earned its Lithuanian name, meaning Table Hill, from its distinctively flat, table-like summit spanning about 1.4 hectares. Extensive earthworks carried out in 1831 for military purposes gave the hill its current leveled shape, and paths climb to it from both Olandų gatvė, near the Krivių bus stop and the Vytautas the Great War Museum, and from T. Kosciuškos gatvė on the opposite side. The flattened top now functions as an open-air venue hosting concerts and festivals in summer, and it offers a wide panoramic view over Vilnius's Old Town and surrounding forested slopes.
