Vērenes muiža

Graži vieta, Vidzeme

The manor complex at Vērene, in Madliena parish, Ogre municipality, includes a barn dated to 1771, a manor house from 1860 and an 18th-century carriage house, all protected as local architectural monuments. Its park holds more than 20 introduced tree species and roughly 4 kilometers of oak avenue, also under heritage protection. Left empty for about three decades after Latvia regained independence, the estate was bought in 2020 by an engineering firm, which has since been restoring it for tourism and recreation use.
