This 37.8-meter observation tower on Temple Hill in Alūksne has 153 steps to its viewing platform, with views over Alūksne Lake, Muiža Park, and the ruins of the historic Livonian Order castle. It's a rebuilt version of a 1938 tower that was demolished in the late 1940s/early 1950s; the current tower reopened in June 2014, with a small visitor center at the base.
