This is one of the designated rest areas along the Jūrtaka coastal hiking trail, located where the Užava river flows into the Baltic Sea near Užava village, close to the Užava lighthouse. Along this stretch of coast, camping and campfires are only permitted at such marked rest areas rather than freely on the shore, and the segment is noted as offering some of the trail's most scenic sea views.
