Paplienija mound (also known as Plinija hill) stands in the Telšiai district, right next to the Žvirgžde stream. This mound dates back to the 1st millennium. - II thousand beginning, its summit is flat and well protected by the remains of ancient ramparts. The area is open to the public, with trails, and is completely free to visit during daylight hours.
