Run by the Tone family at the Brieži farmstead in Apgulde, this collection holds more than 200 orchid species, described as the largest such collection in Latvia, with the plants at their most colorful in autumn. The same site doubles as a small exotic-animal park, with a greenhouse pool stocked with piranhas and golden arowanas alongside chameleons, iguanas, geckos, snakes including a royal python, and a group of Shetland ponies kept outdoors. Visits are by advance arrangement only, booked by phone or email rather than on a walk-in basis.
