Tuputiškių atodangos regykla

Apžvalgos vieta, Vilniaus apskritis

This viewpoint sits within the Tuputiškiai Botanical Reserve, a roughly 26-hectare protected area established in 1998 within Pavilnys Regional Park on the outskirts of Vilnius. From it, visitors look out over an exposed outcrop on the bank of the Vilnia river, the second-largest such exposure formed along that riverbank after the better-known Pūčkoriai outcrop nearby. The reserve was set aside to protect fragments of oak and linden forest, alder stands, and spring-fed stream vegetation on the slopes around the outcrop, and it shelters several plant species listed in Lithuania's Red Data Book. From the viewing point, the Vilnia valley opens out below, with the Belmontas recreation area visible in the distance.
