A memorial stone with an adjoining diagram of the former Tallat-Kelpšų homestead marks the birthplace, in 1888, of Juozas Tallat-Kelpša, a notable 20th century Lithuanian composer who died in 1949 and is buried at Vilnius's Rasos Cemetery. His father, an organist, is buried at the Kalnujai cemetery.
