Alantos dvaras

Graži vieta, Utenos apskritis

Alanta Manor traces back to 1436, when the land was granted as a dowry near the Virintė river. Owned by the Radziwiłł family for some 230 years, it passed in 1828 to the Pac-Pomarnackis family, who built the present Italian-villa-style manor with an observation tower in the 1850s and redesigned the park around 1870. After Soviet-era land reform, the buildings housed an agricultural school before becoming, today, the Alanta Manor Museum-Gallery run by the Molėtai Regional Museum.
