Pine forests in the heart of Dzūkija National Park, known for chanterelles and porcini mushrooms. The soft, sandy soil and mossy pine stands create ideal conditions for mushroom growth. The forest is bright, clean and easy to walk through, but given its large size, GPS navigation on your phone is strongly recommended. The best time is early morning after warm autumn rain.
