On the initiative of Archbishop Sigitas Tamkevičius, 14 Stations of the Cross chapel-pillars were installed in 2013 in the Šiluva forest, giving pilgrims walking the final two kilometers from Raseiniai to Šiluva a path for contemplating Christ's Passion alongside Lithuania's own history of suffering and resistance.
