Užvenčio parkas is the park of the former Užventis manor, protected by the state since 1958. The manor was rented from 1887 to 1898 by the parents of writer Marija Pečkauskaitė, known by her pen name Šatrijos Ragana, who described its tree-lined avenue in her novella Sename dvare (In the Old Manor). The park is dominated by native oaks and lindens, some with trunks over a metre in diameter, and today has a children's playground and a pedestrian path.
