Seaside Nature Park

Graži vieta, Rigas regions

Piejūra Nature Park, founded in 1962, is the third-oldest nature park in Latvia. It stretches about 36.6 km along the Gulf of Riga through Carnikava municipality to Saulkrasti, covering roughly 4,180 hectares and protected as part of the Natura 2000 network. Forested coastal dunes make up most of its forest area, with wooden boardwalks leading to the beach; it's used for hiking, cycling, birdwatching and beach recreation.
