This recreation area lies on Krasta iela in the town of Lubāna, on the bank of the Aiviekste river not far below where it leaves Lake Lubāns, Latvia's largest lake. It serves as the town's public bathing spot (peldētava), used by locals for swimming and picnicking along the riverbank.
