Betygala hillforts, within Dubysa Regional Park near Betygala in Raseiniai district, date to the 1st-2nd century. In the 13th-14th centuries, Betygala Castle stood here - one of the more important Samogitian defensive castles - on the bank of the Vaškutė, a tributary of the Dubysa. Entered into the Cultural Heritage Register on October 15, 1992, the site was adapted for visitors in 2018 with paths, information panels and viewing platforms.
