Švėkšnos parkas

Graži vieta, Klaipėdos apskritis

The manor park in Švėkšna, on Bažnyčios gatvė in Šilutė District, spans roughly 9.5 hectares and belonged to the Pliateris family from the mid-18th century until 1940. Adomas Pliateris had it replanned in the late 19th century into the mixed landscape style typical of that era, and its centerpiece pond holds an island with a statue of the goddess Diana, alongside a restored sundial, a Virgin Mary sculpture, and a monument called the Freedom Angel along the main alley. The park's standout specimen is a Ginkgo biloba roughly 18 meters tall, considered the largest of its kind in Lithuania, and the grounds are officially protected as a Heritage Garden.
