Garliava's Kaimynystės (Neighborhood) Park, designed by architect Violeta Beigienė near the Maišius stream, is built around a musical fountain billed as the only one of its kind in Kaunas district. Its jets are choreographed to music and, after dark, add colored lighting and projected images on a purpose-built water screen, running seasonally rather than year-round. A stone and pylon placed near the stream in 2014 mark the park's founding, which grew out of a community-driven initiative.
