This memorial complex in Kryžkalnis honors Lithuanians who died in the post-war resistance against Soviet occupation. Established on the initiative of Father Alfonsas Svarinskas, its Kęstutis district partisan memorial holds a 15 meter chapel beneath a 19 meter cross alongside plaques listing 1,137 fallen partisans from the district. A separate main memorial, unveiled on September 20, 2020, adds a 25 meter sword-shaped obelisk with a memory wall carrying 20,000 names arranged in Vytis cross formations, along with a tomb of an unknown partisan.
