Intsikurmu song festival stage

Graži vieta, Polvamaa

This forest park song festival stage sits on the southern edge of Põlva, Estonia, and is historically tied to some of the earliest regional song festivals in the area, held in 1855 and 1857. The stage itself can accommodate roughly 3,500 singers, with the surrounding meadow able to hold the audience for dancing and celebration. It is run today by the Põlva Culture and Hobby Center and hosts a regular calendar of events, including the Jaanituli midsummer bonfire festival, the Intsikurmu Rahvapidu community celebration, and accordion and folk-music gatherings. A roughly 3-kilometer nature trail through the surrounding Intsikurmu forest passes close to the stage, and the grounds themselves stay open to the public around the clock.
