Jugintai Holy Spring emerges on the shore of Lake Vištytis, in the Šilelis forest, at a small hillock topped with crosses - cold spring water rises from the earth amid firs and pines. The first cross here was erected by a poor peasant before World War I. According to local accounts, washing with the spring's water could restore sight to the blind and quickly heal slow-mending wounds. The spring is listed in Lithuania's official register of springs and water sources.
