Angelų kalnas

Graži vieta, Vilniaus apskritis

Angelų kalva (Hill of Angels) is a 4.3-hectare hillside near Būda village by Lake Galvė, Trakai district, created in 2009 to mark the 1000th anniversary of the first written mention of Lithuania's name. What began as 10 planned wooden oak angels grew through community donations to more than 40, each carved figure representing a value such as truth, compassion, or hope. The hill also hosts an annual sacred music festival called "Skamba giesmės Angelų kalvoje" and is open to visitors at any time, free of charge.
