Iškylos vieta, Vidzeme
Atpūtas vieta pie Salaiņa ezera is a forest picnic and rest area on the shore of Salainis (Salaiņa ezers), a through-flow lake in Zvārtava Parish, Valka Municipality. It has a table with benches and a fire pit, is maintained by the state forestry company Latvijas valsts meži (Austrumvidzeme region), and is open free of charge year-round. The lake has good swimming spots and draws visitors in summer. On the same shore stands the former Mednieki hunting lodge, built in 1870 for Baron von Wulf and now run as a private recreation base.
