Darsūniškio Šv. Kazimiero vartai

Graži vieta, Kauno apskritis

These historic town gates of Darsūniškis, dedicated to St. Casimir, were built 1791-1794 during the town's Magdeburg-rights period, demolished by Soviet authorities in 1963, and restored during the 1990 independence revival. They stand on the road from Darsūniškis toward Sekioniai, at the town boundary, and remain a pilgrimage and commemoration site on March 4, St. Casimir's day.
