Bėčionys hillfort lies in Šalčininkai district, west of Bėčionys, within Dieveniškės Historical Regional Park, on the right bank of the Gauja stream. Its oval platform, elongated east-west, measures 40 by 20 m, with moderately steep slopes 4-17 m high. Dated to the start of the first millennium, it's attributed to the striated-pottery culture of early eastern Lithuanian Balts, who built wooden fortifications on steep hills. It was declared a cultural monument on May 19, 1998, covering 2.1 hectares.
