A good place in Lithuania to watch migrating birds along the Curonian Lagoon shore, near Kintai. The tower is set among reeds, offering a wide view of Kniaupas Bay and the lagoon beyond. In spring and autumn, thousands of ducks, geese and swans gather here, and a soaring white-tailed eagle can often be spotted overhead. Binoculars or a telephoto lens are essential, since the birds keep a safe distance toward the open lagoon.
