Graži vieta, Šiaulių apskritis
Akmenė town sits on the right bank of the Dabikinė river, a roughly 37-kilometer tributary of the Venta that rises just across the border in Latvia before flowing through Akmenė district municipality. Since 2002 the town’s pine forest has hosted the Akmenė Nature and Culture Park, laid out along the Dabikinė river valley around a former sand quarry and pond bank. The grounds display numerous wooden sculptures and a stone open-air stage used for local cultural events, making it a popular spot for rest and leisure.
