Reaching 259.8 meters above sea level near the old Rēķi farmstead, this rise is the highest point in Sarkaņu parish, about 7 km from Madona. A recreation complex built at its foot runs a 380-meter alpine ski slope with a lift, a 2-kilometer cross-country track, equipment rental and instruction, plus a café and overnight lodging. It functions as a small regional winter-sports base rather than a major resort.
