Žygis, Vidzeme
Nigras taka is a roughly 7-kilometer circular hiking trail along the Nigra River in Blome parish, Smiltene municipality, opened in April 2025. It is officially rated a high-difficulty route, with climbs and descents along steep riverbanks, ravines, narrow footbridges, and muddy stretches. Landmarks along the way include old oak trees, rapids, a sulfur spring, and several campfire spots set up along the riverbank. The trail starts at a bridge over the Nigra River near the Janēti homestead.
