Lake Kubija's beach sits on the outskirts of Võru, on a freshwater lake covering more than 15 hectares with a maximum depth of just 5 metres. Facilities include changing rooms, a boat landing, a diving tower and a lifeguard on duty in summer, while the surrounding pine forest offers ski tracks in winter. Anglers regularly catch bream, perch and pike here, and the adjacent Kubija Hotel and Nature Spa and campsite make it a popular local recreation spot.
