Kernu Beach

Paplūdimys, Raplamaa

Kernu järve supelrand is a small sandy beach on the shore of Kernu paisjärv, an 18-hectare dammed lake on the Vasalemma River right in front of Kernu Manor. The lake is shallow (max depth about 1.5 m) and popular for summer swimming, and the manor rents SUP boards for paddling across it when water levels are high. Its reed-lined shores also attract birdlife, including whooper swans, which are rare in Estonia but return here every spring.
