Luidja telkimisala

Kempingas, Hiiumaa

Set at the start of the Kõpu peninsula about 25 km from Kärdla, this free RMK campsite sits beside Luidja’s sandy beach, known locally for its singing sands underfoot. A 2.2 km black alder stand, planted in 1904-1908 to stop sand drifting onto roads and fields, shelters the site from sea winds, and the surrounding dunes and forest now form the 68-hectare Luidja Landscape Conservation Area. The beach itself stretches roughly 2.5 km and includes several volleyball courts.
