Žygis, Zemgale
A waymarked nature trail runs through the grounds of Mazmežotne manor near Rundāle, following the left bank slope of the ancient Lielupe valley for a look at the river’s forest and meadow habitats. Wooden boardwalks and stairs carry visitors along the route past information boards, with entry priced at 2 euros for adults and 1 euro for students and pensioners. From the estate, paths also connect toward the nearby Mežotne and Vīnkalns hillforts.
