Graži vieta, Kauno apskritis
Rumšiškių miško pušis grows in Rumšiškės forest, Kaišiadorys district municipality, about 350 meters southeast of the site of the former children's camp Kauno marios. Declared a botanical natural monument in 2000, it is considered the thickest pine tree in Lithuania, with a trunk circumference of around 5 meters near the base, a height of about 32 meters, and an estimated age of some 400 years. The bark carries a meter-long scar left by pre-war resin tapping, when the sap was processed into turpentine, rosin, shoe polish, floor wax and hand creams, as well as charcoal marks from past forest fires.
