Graži vieta, Šiaulių apskritis
Opened in 1926 as a stop named Paventa on the Amaliai-Telšiai railway line, this station south of Kuršėnai was renamed Pavenčiai in 1934. It holds a somber place in Lithuanian history as one of the sites from which mass deportations to Siberia began in June 1941. A newer station building has since replaced the original structure nearby.
