Akmenių Manor near Kedainiai began as a manor official's residence with stables, a granary and a barn; after a fire in the early 20th century it was rebuilt in brick. It later housed a school during the interwar years and after World War II, before its later life as a beekeeping farm. Today the restored manor operates as a private countryside guesthouse, so visits are generally by prior arrangement rather than open wandering.
