Graži vieta, Kauno apskritis
First mentioned in the 14th century as a Grand Duke's manor, this estate was held by the Radvila family from the early 17th century. By 1780 it had two brick manor houses and about 40 buildings total. Benediktas Tiškevičius, former Kaunas gubernia marshal of nobility, acquired it in 1841; new manor buildings, a mill, park, canal, ponds and dikes were built 1857-1858 to a design by architect Cezaris Anikinis. After the land reform the estate was parceled out in 1925; from 1927 the manor center went to the Lithuanian Army Invalids' Union, then in 1929 a winter agricultural school, from 1944 a progymnasium and later a secondary school with dormitory, and has been private property since 1994.
