Iškylos vieta, Zemgale
Zaķu pļava is an open meadow at the foot of the Vilce hillfort, within Vilce Nature Park in Jelgavas novads, where the Vilce and Rukūze rivers meet. A carved wooden rabbit sculpture, Saimnieks Zaķis, marks the site, and Devonian sandstone outcrops are visible along the nearby riverbanks. Latvia’s State Forests (LVM) maintains the free picnic tables, shelters and fire pits here, and wooden stairs lead up the 12-metre hillfort.
