Aukštadvaris Regional Park was established in 1992 west of Vilnius, in Trakai district, to protect the hilly landscape at the headwaters of the Verknė and Strėva rivers. It covers 17,005 hectares, rich in small lakes and moraine hills, popular for cycling and hiking routes.
