Lithuania's only museum dedicated to the history of the Curonian tribe, founded in 2021 in Mosėdis by history enthusiasts Irma and Benas Šimkai together with members of the "Pilsota" living-history association, occupies a renovated early 20th century farm building. Its exhibition splits along the historical division of Curonian society, with a men's side displaying weapons and warfare artifacts and a women's side showing elaborate burial goods and traditional weaving, presenting meticulously reconstructed archaeological finds from selected Curonian graves as they would have appeared a thousand years ago.
