This site sits on Vilsandi Island, home to Estonia's westernmost lighthouse, built in 1809 and standing 38.7 meters tall with its light 42.3 meters above sea level. Restored in 2019 and reopened to visitors in 2021, the area lies within Vilsandi National Park alongside two RMK hiking trails, two camping grounds, bicycle rental, and gray seal observation trips. The island is reached by chartered boat, scheduled ferry, or on foot across the tidal flats from the Kuunõmme peninsula.
