This swimming spot lies on the shore of Ruusmäe (also known as Rogosi) lake, a 5.1-hectare, roughly 390 by 150 meter lake with a maximum depth of 11.6 meters, next to the former Rogosi manor park in Haanja parish. Bathing takes place on the firmer shoreline beside the old manor park, since the rest of the lake's banks are boggy and muddy. The linked Facebook page belongs to the privately rented Rogosi manor apartment rather than to a dedicated public beach operator.
