Žibgravas veselības trail

Žygis, Kurzeme

This roughly 1.5-kilometer looped health trail near Alsunga follows the winding banks of the Kauliņupīte River through hilly forest, passing ravines that reach up to 15 meters in height. Ten information stands along the route describe the trail's old trees, a spring, a small pond, and protected species such as the jet ant and the lichen Arthonia spadicea, while also posing riddles tied to the local Suiti dialect. Created in the late 1990s, the trail ends at a wheelchair-accessible resting area and is best visited in spring or autumn, since sections can flood after heavy rain.
