Pühajärv, meaning "Holy Lake," is the largest lake in the Otepää Nature Park in southern Estonia, stretching about 3.5 km long with several forested islands. Locals consider it sacred, and in 1991 the Dalai Lama visited and blessed its waters, an event now marked by a wooden sculpture on the shore.
