Apžvalgos vieta, Hiiumaa
Rising along the Rebastemäe study trail on the Kõpu peninsula, this wooded hill marks one of the oldest and highest points in western Estonia, ground that emerged from the sea as a tiny islet only around 8,000 years ago. An observation tower here opens views over Hiiumaa’s forests and the Mardihansu strait, with Saaremaa visible on clear days. The 1.5-kilometer circular trail continues past heath pine forest and an old storm-damaged spruce grove to a second tower on the nearby Kaplimägi hill.
