Vieta, Latgale
This 46.24-hectare nature reserve, protected since 1987 and part of the Natura 2000 network, covers ten islands scattered across Lake Rušons in Rušona parish, Preiļi municipality, Latgale. Its main conservation value is the broadleaf forest covering parts of the islands, home to protected plant species such as large-flowered helleborine and water eryngo. One of the islands, Upursala, holds an ancient cult site known as the Rušona Upurakmens (sacrifice stone).
