Drūkšiai Lake, straddling the border between northeastern Lithuania and Belarus, is Lithuania's largest lake by surface area at nearly 4,500 hectares. Part of the lake once cooled the former Ignalina Nuclear Power Plant, and it holds species like pike, bream, tench, and perch, though fishing requires border-zone registration since the lake sits on the frontier.
