Anfabrikas klints

Apžvalgos vieta, Vidzeme

Ānfabrikas klintis are grayish-reddish sandstone cliffs up to 17 meters high on the left bank of the Līgatne River in Gauja National Park, protected as a geological and geomorphological natural monument. The cliff face contains rectangular cellar openings cut into the rock, first carved after 1815 alongside the nearby paper mill from which the site takes its name ('Ānfabrik'). Wooden stairs lead visitors up the cliff, with a path connecting to further sandstone cellars at nearby Rīgaskalns.
