Saadjärve Kaldaranna Beach

Paplūdimys, Tartumaa

A sandy beach at the village of Äksi on the shore of Lake Saadjärv, Estonia’s largest lake in the Vooremaa region, covering roughly 708 hectares and reaching depths of up to 25 meters. Locals and visitors come here to sunbathe and swim, and the spot sits only about 350 meters from the Ice Age Centre in Äksi. It remains an informal, unsupervised swimming area rather than an officially designated public beach, so there is no lifeguard on duty and visitors swim at their own risk.
