Ihamaru Palojärve swimming spot

Maudykla, Polvamaa

Palojärv is a clear-water forest lake of 8.2 hectares (roughly 410 by 200 meters) reaching a maximum depth of 10 meters, situated just north of Ihamaru village in Kanepi Parish, Põlva County. Its sandy bottom and position along the historic Postitee (Old Post Road) make it a well-known summer swimming spot, often mentioned as one of the warmer lakes in South Estonia. An adjoining camping area offers a swimming pier, beach changing cabins, seven covered bonfire sites, and two wooden huts set in pine forest.
