Set within the roughly 60 hectare Šaukliai landscape reserve, valued for its protected heather, juniper thickets and cotton-grass and moor-grass communities, this former quarry near Kulaliai holds large stones gathered from surrounding fields during land reclamation, blasted and prepared for crushed-stone production. The unexploded boulders that remain, of varied shapes and sizes, are stacked in six rows about 100 meters long, covering roughly half a hectare.
